The war in Ukraine, unleashed by the aggressive Russian regime, has forced many people to abandon their homes and seek refuge in foreign countries. Latvia has accepted and helped thousands of refugees from Ukraine who fled from the bombings, and hundreds of citizens of Russia and Belarus who do not support the policies pursued by their governments.

A series of interviews "DOUBLE PORTRAIT" about how to remain human, not give in to evil and hatred, and lend a helping hand to those who need it. Regardless of the passport and despite the painful history of relations between countries, ideology and propaganda aimed at inciting hatred and misunderstanding. We will tell you the stories of people from different countries and the residents of Latvia who have helped them and continue to support them.

In this project and in life, we are united by the fact that we all want to live in love and peace, not in war and hatred. Equal coexistence depends on ourselves, on our willingness to hear, support and inspire each other.
